Cat running for a seat in the British parliament

Red cat Stan officially applied for participation in the general elections.

The non-partisan animal will run for the seat in the Gillingham and Rainham constituency of Kent, reports The Mirror.

The owner of the furry politician is Peter Cook, a fierce opponent of Britain’s exit from the European Union and the creator of the “Cats Against Brexit” movement, which nominated Stan for the election.

According to Peter, the animal has big political plans. One of the points of the election program is the introduction of the cat army on the roof of the Gillingham railway station to eliminate the pigeons that occupy it.
