The police in the city of Tijuana, Baja California, found a package with a baby lion inside at the sorting office of a courier company.
According to eyewitnesses to the incident, the wild animal was found in a wooden container by a service dog during a random postal screening by National Guard officers.
The lion cub was handed over to the Ensenada Municipality Zoo, and the sender of the live parcel was immediately put on the wanted list.
