A four-legged resident of the Indian village of Chakki More began to take care of a motherless monkey.
A video with an unusual family was published by the Daily Mail tabloid.
Prakash Badal, a photographer from the state of Himachal Pradesh, came to the village to take pictures of nearby wild birds. When he saw a small primate playing with a pregnant dog in the village, he decided to take pictures and videos of them.
It turned out that the locals were poisoning the adult monkeys that ruined the crops. Among the victims was the baby’s mother.
According to the photographer, conflicts often arise between dogs and primates, but probably, the future parent sheltered the orphan, obeying her maternal instinct.
