Rare turtles are nesting on popular Thailand beaches

Phuket Island’s resorts, which were empty because of the coronavirus pandemic, were flooded with hordes of sea turtles.

Daredevil animals lay eggs in the coastal sand, the Sun reported.

This year, discovered a much larger number of laid eggs compared to last year: experts found 11 turtle nests.

The director of the Marine Biological Center said that this has not been observed for 20 years. Most of the spawning areas of rare species of reptiles were destroyed by humans, as well as reptiles were killed massively in fishing nets.
